Context

Today, the transport sector accounts for over 28% of final energy consumption.
APRUE, through its National Energy Management Program (PNME), has launched several
initiatives to improve energy efficiency in the transport sector:

Objectives:

  • Reduce energy consumption in transport while maintaining the efficiency of mobility systems.
  • Reduce CO2 emissions by increasing the use of clean energies and reducing dependence on fossil fuels.
  • Improve air quality in urban areas, which are particularly affected by pollutant emissions from transport.
  • Foster a transition to sustainable mobility by encouraging the adoption of innovative technologies and promoting more environmentally-friendly behavior.

The "CS-Mobiliy" projects for clean & sustainable transport

The aim of the project to convert 50,000 petrol vehicles to LPG fuel (LPG/c) is to promote
alternative, more efficient and less polluting mobility solutions.
 Aimed at motorists owning light vehicles (private individuals and cabs), it consists in
granting financial assistance (non-repayable) of 21,000.00 DA for the conversion of a petrol
vehicle to LPGc.

The aim of the project is to promote electric mobility, and the electric car in particular.  
Aimed at private individuals and companies wishing to acquire a brand-new electric vehicle,
it provides financial assistance (non-repayable) for the purchase of an electric car.
Electric vehicles concerned: Versatile or compact electric city car.
Aid is conditional and calculated on the basis of the vehicle's purchase cost.

The project to convert diesel vehicles to dual fuel (Diesel-LPG/c) aims to promote alternative,
more efficient and less polluting mobility and fuel solutions.

Aimed at interested owners of captive fleets running on diesel, it consists in granting
non-repayable financial aid for conversion.

Aid is conditional and calculated on the basis of the operation's cost

Technical support:

This program benefits in particular from:

  • Technical support from APRUE, in particular through the drafting of specifications for the selection of beneficiaries;
  • Supporting manufacturers and strengthening their capabilities;
  • Awareness-raising campaigns to encourage potential beneficiaries to sign up;
  • Overall monitoring of program implementation.
