Background:

In Algeria, the industrial sector accounts for 20% of final energy
consumption. The outlook for consumption is set to double over the
next two decades, thanks to the economic recovery.
Consequently, the implementation of energy efficiency actions
dedicated to this sector is necessary to control energy consumption in
this strategic sector.

Objectives:

Implementing projects included in the national energy management program under the National Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Program requires effective management of technical, organizational and logistical conditions.
The objectives assigned to the National Energy Management Program dedicated to the industrial sector are :

"LC-Industry" projects for low-carbon industry:

The aim is to gradually integrate energy efficiency measures into the industrial sector's development strategy.

Incentive scheme for carrying out feasibility studies to invest in energy-efficient processes and/or equipment.
Aimed at industrial companies, it provides non-repayable financial assistance for carrying out a feasibility study
Aid is conditional and calculated on the basis of the study cost.

Incentive scheme to improve energy efficiency, develop renewable energies and, more generally, replace, adapt and/or optimize production equipment and processes.
Aimed at industrial companies, it provides non-repayable financial assistance for investment projects.
Aid is conditional and calculated on the basis of the operation's cost.

Targets and beneficiaries:

All public and private industrial establishments under Algerian law.
