Energy auditor training in industry

Context

An "energy audit" is a critical examination of a company energy consumption with the aim of achieving rational energy use. Its purpose is to determine what changes need to be made to a company processes and utilities, and to the way they are operated, in order to achieve energy savings.
The provisions of Law 09-99 on energy management and Executive Decree No. 495-05 of 24 Dhou el Kaada 1426 corresponding to December 26th, 2005, introduce a mandatory periodic energy audit system for large energy-consuming establishments (over 2,000 Tep for industry and over 500 Tep for the tertiary sector)

Training objectives

This course is designed to provide candidates with the methodology and tools needed to carry out an energy audit. The training should enable participants to acquire the expertise and know-how needed to carry out energy audits within the various industrial units.

Training access conditions

In accordance with the interministerial order of September 29th, 2010 on auditor approval procedures, candidates must hold an engineering degree or equivalent university diploma in one of the following technical specialties:

– Mechanical, energy and thermal engineering
– Chemical engineering
– Process Engineering
– Electrical engineering
– Electromechanics
