Implementation of the 50001 system takes between 04 to 06 months, depending on the size of the company and the commitment of the senior manager.
A preliminary visit is carried out by a specialized APRUE team to assess the scope of the service, to familiarize themselves with the organization of the company wishing to implement such a system,
and to ensure the commitment of management, in particular the senior manager, which is a prerequisite for the success of the project.
Organizations in all energy-consuming sectors: industrial, transport, building & services, local authorities in particular.
Support in implementing the ISO 50001 standard has the following objectives:
- Help organizations make rational use of energy resources;
- Facilitate communication on energy resource management;
- Promote best practices in energy management and reinforce good behavior in this area;
- Help business units evaluate and prioritize the application of new energy-efficient
technologies;
- Provide a framework to promote energy efficiency throughout the supply chain;
- Facilitate improvement in energy management in the context of projects to reduce greenhouse
gas emissions;
- Enable integration with other management systems already in place (environment, health and
safety).
The implementation of the energy management system is planned in several stages, to enable the progressive and effective integration of normative requirements and to set in motion the process of continuous improvement of the company energy performance.
