Développement du DUAL FUEL

  • The share of diesel-powered vehicles in the Algerian fleet continues to grow year on year, for a number of reasons:
    reduced fuel consumption of diesel engines;
  • the price difference between petrol and diesel;
  • the only diesel-powered vehicle on the market in the truck and bus range.
    As a result of this trend towards dieselization, diesel consumption accounts for 60% of total consumption in the road transport sector.

To mitigate this trend and its harmful effects on the environment, the public authorities, through the Ministry of Energy Transition and Renewable Energies, the Ministry of Energy and Mines and the
Ministry of Transport, have jointly launched a pilot operation dedicated to the promotion of  Dual-fuel.
This operation involved the conversion of a  Mercedes Conecto  passenger transport bus belonging to the  ETUSA" urban and suburban transport company.

  • Captive fleets ;
  • Commercial vehicles ;
  • Passenger cars ;
  • Generator sets.
